WHAT WE DO
The Office of the Family Law Facilitator provides the
following assistance:

Explains the process of establishing paternity;

Prepares Orders to Show Cause and Responses to establish,
modify or terminate a child support, spousal support or health insurance
order;

Provides information and prepares draft calculations of support
amounts based on statutory guidelines;

Provides referrals to the District Attorney, Family Court
Services and other community agencies;

Prepares stipulations for parties who agree to child support,
spousal support or health insurance;
-
Prepares answers to District Attorney complaints;
-
Screens parties to receive a Court Appointed Attorney in
IV-D cases;
-
Prepares motions to set aside in IV-D cases;
-
Prepares Orders After Hearing and Wage Assignment Orders
in which child support, spousal support or health insurance are at issue;
-
Mediates child support, spousal support and health insurance
issues between the parties.
